Crimp-On Connectors for 6 or 8 AWG wire

All I can find are ring terminals that big. Anyone know of an online source for a Female Crimp-On Connector that will fit on such a large wire?

I've driven all over town to electronics houses, car stereo places, auto parts places, etc. & nothing.

Cannot find anything using internet searches, including the Allied Electronics web site search facility (!)

Both from my days in the electrical industry & in consumer electronics, I have never seen anything but ring-type terminals for that size. 10-12 awg (yellow terminals) are common but not larger.

neither

I'm looking for the female piece that goes on a male "tab" - i.e. it would fit onto the tabs that stick out of a power switch, etc.

youre not going to find them as the connection will not be good enough and will generate heat.......in the instances i need to be able to disconnect i use 2 ring terminals and bolt them together.......you can also get quick disconnect type connectors which are hard plastic and have the solderable connectors which lock inside, check with wytech online.....or aamp of america.....

Need something like Anderson Power Poles perhaps? unless you can only change one side of the connection.

if you're talking a 1/4" spade lug (male sticky outy thingy as you're talking) with a crimp-on at that 6-8 gauge wire, to a low current (max 10-15 amp) power switch, you're in over your head what-ever you're trying to wire to a 6 awg wire.

I can smell you're already letting smoke out of the wire..........keep the smoke inside if you can.
