Dead Cow Clean Up On Isle 3

Friend sent these to me taken from a trail cam near the Southeastern Corner of Yellow stone NP. Camara Owner unknown-

Stinking cows will bring the crowds out in one of the most remote parts of the lower 48.

These pics are on private ranch land out side the park Near Dubois WY. They frown on Bovine in the park

Gerry Spence has a ranch near Dubois. I didn't realize that Grizzlies made it that far S/E of the park. Too cool.

I think they staked that cow like the goat in Jurassic Park and filmed what would happen...

The bear in pic #5 seems to be "enjoying" the dead cow just a bit too much.

they are expanding their range, partly because their late fall food sources in the Park are failing, due to destruction of white bark pine trees

they are also thought to home in on gunshots, but the camera placement seems more than coincidental

That area has always had high Griz activity. I flew Ariel surveys just north (In the park) in 89-91 the area known as the Thorofare just south east of the lake (Yellowstone). It was pretty thick with Griz then.

The cow could have died or been shot beacuse of injury or disease. It was the best place to place a cam.

They like thier beef well aged.

Yea I bet the smaller carnivores suck the blood out of the sage brush. I'm sure the bones are 200 Yards away 48 hours after the first feeders arrived.

These cameras will not spook them like a blind full people. Technology helps.

Nature it's fun to watch !
