F1 India ***Spoiler***

While the race was almost a snoozefest, I do like the track with that cool ‘chicane’ (T10?) which adds something different. The exit from pits is the pits, though. And the talking heads were commenting that the dust was curbing some potential passing action. The result of the Massa/Ham incident was surprising but fair. The usual good drive from Vettel . . .

So glad I have a DVR and didn't waste any sleep. Besides another Massa/Hamilton incident, what a boring race.

Track has some potential once they can get control of the dust, maybe next year.

Yep. Total snoozefest. Yet another race Vettel leads from pole to flag.

I think this marks the first time in his career that Hamilton got into a scuffle with a Ferrari and was not penalized.

The only other interesting thing during the race was how Massa's wing caused the suspension to fail...again.

I don't think it was the wing. It looks like the secondary curb, or "sausage" as Massa called it caused it. However, that curb is way off line and I think Massa was the only one to stray off line that far in both of those incidents.

did you guys watch the same race?..............
why is it every one claims its snoozefest? theres more passing than ever, just because there is an absolute dominating team doesn't mean it s boring........maybe you should all stay watching the national chess championships, may be more what your looking for.......
all it takes is one small mistake and the running order would change....but this year vettel has been completely dominant.............
i hear there are lots of crashes in nascar......maybe you should watch that........

the whining of boring races is getting old..........it's f1...........and the championship had been decided early by a clearly dominating team........so why the suprise that vettel killed it?

Sorry, bell, but the race was boring. If you're a Vettel fan, I'm sure it was satisfying, though. The track looks great, and I'm happy to see a new, proper track without slow chicanes and hairpins. Was really surprised about the outcome of the Ham/Mas altercation. I couldn't tell how closely Massa was watching his mirrors, and he may have intentionally driven into Ham, but that's a bit farfetched. They probably need to have a rule that says something to the effect that if the overtaking car has not pulled wheel to wheel with the other car, then it will always be the overtaking car's fault. That should stop some of these banzai inside moves that have no hope.

Wow, is that smog something else in India.

i was watching multiple shots of hammys pass and his front wheel was past massas side pod, it was a risky pass but he was deffinately beside him........
the mid pack was battling it out pretty hard.....the good racing isn't always at the front......
there are millions of dollars in checks from bernie that have yet tobe decided.......with 2 races to go there still slot to be decided........

I'm not sure which race you were watching, but there's no way Ham was alongside Massa. Not even close. Also interesting to see Massa's front wing oscillating out of control.

Let's hope the cars equal out a bit more next season. There are a bunch of great drivers & while duels for other positions are fun, it would be nice to see a variety on the top step. It's like Schumi déjŕ vu.

Was that smog, or fog? Whatever it is, looks bad. Also it was a boring race.

Missed it. For the first time in nearly ten years I've let almost the whole season go by without really watching any of the races (well, maybe the first two). Just can't get into it.

I quickly become weary of races in which one team dominates for an entire season. Enough with the same bloke winning every freakin' race, sez I. They ought to give Vettel a handicap, or something, like they do in British Touring Car.

I'm looking forward to the '12 season, hoping the other teams catch up to Red Bull. We shall see. One can only hope.

On a slightly different topic...

So we will have Austin in 2012 and that plus New Jersey in 2013. Weren't there 20 races scheduled this year and the contract with the teams states no more than 20 races? Is a venue being dropped next year and again the year after?

F1 is quite entertaining but the wacko media in the US portrays it behind all other sporting events. Hell, today the Metallica cancelled-concert mayhem at the event was more news than the actual race. Like, what does Metillica have to do with F1 and attempting to have a concert of all places New Delhi?
