LOL, as a kids growing up in the 50's and 60's we would get a crate every December from my aunt and uncle in Krefeld where my father was born. It would contain a few small gifts for all of us kids and then a nice compliment of candies, usually chocolates, liquor filled chocolates, and marzipans. Now matter how desperate we were, the marzipan never got eaten.

My Dentist in Berlin still sends me marzipan every Christmas. Love the stuff...
