Getting back to the roots of the sport:D

The roots are moonshine. Big difference if you ask me. Of course, nobody asks me....or you, for that matter.

This article claims it wasn't meth, but "bath salts"

I heard bath salts are some psuedo legal way to get high. It supposedly a problem in Utah and out west.

They also said he was in possession of a bunch of stolen metal things. Likely trying to sell or scrap it.

I never saw him as a racer, but have seen a lot of the aftermath of his ban....sad to see a fall from grace. Worse to see it publicly.

.

Looks like this stuff has been illegal for less than 2 weeks.

Curious why some articles say this crap, and others say Meth. From the wiki article, the effects are similar.

Eh, the media doesn't always have the facts. Not to mention that materials like that can't be properly identified until they are analyzed in a lab.

Just because they are labeled as bath salts doesn't mean they are used as such.

When he tested positive once I could give him the benefit of the doubt, a second time a little less doubt, now there's no doubt. Pretty sad really.

strupgolf 11-02-2011 06:53 PM

Was he the driver that got suspended last year or so for drugs, or testing positive? If so, bye bye bye,see you later, or probably not.

A930Rocket 11-02-2011 07:05 PM

He was in trouble several times a few years ago. In a life or death sport (or any for that matter), drugs just can't be a part of it.

What a maroon for blowing a golden opportunity.

Hmm. I would say they were both illegal drugs that are smuggled. Who knows, rate the country's going meth might be legal in 20 yrs

I agree, but from the sounds of things this stuff was perfectly legal to buy about 2 weeks ago.

Nascar gave him the boot a couple years ago, no idea what he has been doing since.

Joe Bob 11-02-2011 08:55 PM

I read about this stuff a couple of years ago.....

I doubt Meth can ever be made legal, it's far to destructive...
It really takes the smart out of the smarties ... permanently.

Today's moonshine. That's why he lost his ride and totally denied it.
