Big cars, little cars........

They are all fun! It's nice to have a spare workbench for things like this! Some pictures.............

The track and racing cars are from a Carrera set. The cars are formula 1 (Ferrari and McLaren). I've got two Can Am cars ordered, a Sonoco 917 and a McLaren M20. When my son comes for Christmas we will find out who has the fastest thumb! Meanwhile, I will have to run the cars some just to keep them in good working order (he he).

Cool. Lift-off oversteer probably isn't too much of a problem

Staying on the track......

The cars can pretty much circle the track at full throttle except for the end of the long back straight where the lane change is located. At that point a quick blip of the throttle is required, expecially if the driver used the "turbo" button for max acceleration. I've got to make a "wall" on the right end to keep the cars from finding their way to the floor! Stay tuned for some creative backgrounds!

Over the last few weeks I have been spending most of my time in the shop building the ATO fuse panels for SCs and Carreras. However, I have had time to do a little waxing on the SC, add a Weltmeister harness bar and a couple of other minor things. We had some really bad weather a few days ago with the possibility of large hail so it was nice to have a place to put my truck inside instead of having to leave it outside to take it's chances. I have added a new drill press and just got another floor jack (4 ton) thanks to a big savings on Black Friday at Sears. Sometime probably after New Years Day I am going to pull the engine out of the SC for a major overhaul/upgrade. That is when the shop will really begin to pay me back! Meanwhile, even in the nasty wet winter weather there is still car fun to be had!
