Here's something you don't see every day

A new Ferrari California driven by an asian woman:

I guess it could have been a 15 y.o. with a learners permit. Fukmi.

Heh heh... nice parking job too, huh? :D

krichard 11-04-2011 11:38 AM

There's a kid in my neighborhood, around 25 I'd guess, that has one of these as well as..... an R8, Lambo Gallardo and a couple more. I think he's a better parker than the lady above.

Ahhhhh...that was the whole point of the post. That was the joke.

I did not actually see who was driving the car. It's not unusual to see any particular car in Los Angeles but it's freaking unheard of to see a Ferrari parked in such a way that's it's begging for a door dent or a side swipe.

There's one of those in my plantation......absolutely stunning....

Just to give that schitty-driving owner some props, that is one hellaciously beautiful California. Probably the best color I've seen.

Pretty sure that was a hasty u-turn into that spot. Parking in Larchmont must be scarce.

Well, of course it is.

It was obviously a left turn into that spot. But even in my schit box, I back up and correct the angle if I don't hit it the first time. This person has serious FU money or is truly retarded. Maybe both.

Scraping a little of that Ferrari paint onto my car would increase its' value. :D

Noah930 11-04-2011 09:00 PM

I was going to guess Larchmont for your daily LA Trivia Question from the Wells Fargo in the background of the first pic, but then I noticed the Florist in the 3rd picture.

Still pretty unusual for a female and an Asian to be driving a Ferrari. You don't see that very often, even in LA. Maybe an AMG MB or M-class BMW, but not a Ferrari.

speeder 11-04-2011 09:31 PM

I have no idea who was driving that car and probably made a tasteless joke there. It would not be the first time.

In my defense, I once heard that national driving stereotypes are a special exemption from charges of bigotry. Also, AFAIK we do not have any asian women on the forum to offend but for some reason have a lot of guys with asian wives so sorry if my lame attempt at humor fell flat.

I have park in that very same spot before when we worked in Hancock Park. People would look at me like if I was from outa space with my beat up Dodge Diesel parked right next to all those clean and new European cars.

Hmmm...I'm on that street every day of my life in various vehicles including my beat-up 28 y.o. PU truck and no one has ever given me a second glance. Are you sure it was the truck? ;)

Tweezers is at least part iirc....

She looks the part anyways, hopefully she can drive better than that....

Forget the parking job, I wants me some Village Pizza! Every time I'm in LA, my sister and I hit Village Pizza with the kids.

Noah930 11-04-2011 10:07 PM

I used to like to go to Landis' General Store when I was a kid.

HardDrive 11-04-2011 10:08 PM

And not to contradict you speeder, but I DO see asian women parking poorly nearly every day........in my driveway.

Ah, you are funny. Well, I am sure they don't like me parking next to them.

speeder 11-04-2011 10:56 PM

I'm not usually one to drool over Ferraris but this car is really stunning in this color.

Is it just me, or has anyone else been bumfuzzled and sick of "LOOK AT ME" brake caliper colors since the trend began?

It's to the point where it's the first thing you see when you look at the car. Dumb. Ricerish.
