4.7 Magnitude Oklahoma Earthquake
anybody feel it? I thought this was for Cali residents:)
I was sound asleep, had friends that felt it in Tulsa and Lawton...
Several of the guys at breakfast felt it all around the OKC area... |
4.7? What.... did Bubba pass gas? That's a minor aftershock in LALA land....

In Oklahoma it's more likely Earl or Hank or any combination of two letters that will substitute for a real name; CW, TJ, etc... My dad grew up in Wayne, Oklahoma. The neighbor Tucker family had three boys; Spud, Twister and Spike. NOT nicknames. :D |
I was in Gainesville TX, about 60 miles north of DFW and it woke me up, 2nd floor hotel room... I thought: Earthquake? In Texas? huh.
Saw the news in the AM. Then learned Andy Rooney passed. |
Woke me up about 2:13 AM. Epicenter was 55 miles from my house. Very minor event here.

Just felt another one rumble my house for a good 10 15 secs.
Felt it up in Wichita pretty well. Rolled the hotel.
Official number was a 5.2
That's an ant fart. Call us when you get a 7.5 or greater.
Out here the native WANT 6.0's to get the east coasters to move home! ( Mid-west starts at Las Vegas to around Texas)
Upgrade to a 5.6. Biggest in OK history, first quak most Okies have ever felt
My wife felt it, I was making fun of her until it came on the news. Sorry dear...... :)
We sure felt it. I would say we heard it more than felt it. No damage but a 5.6 at least.
Much stronger than the first one and lasted a lot longer. Slight damage. Some noticeable aftershocks.
That's the third one we've felt this year. JR |
A friend of mine in OKC posted apic of a crack in her tile floor that got much longer due to the quake
