For the next 15 hours or so, Signonsandiego has a coupon "Daily Deal" for Mt. Baldy lift tickets good from Nov. 14 through the 2011-2012 season for $29/day (usually $64).

Baldy is an interesting place to ski. If you time it right you can have great snow. If you time it wrong (which is the norm) can be miserable due to either bad snow or wind/blowing sleet. It is close though - when i lived in Claremont I could be on the lifts in about 30 min.
