My computer says it's 11:11 right now on it's clock.

I missed it. Anything happen? Did a vortex open and swallow the west coast? (Oh, wait -- it's not 11:11 there yet...)

Are vorticies time-zone dependant?

Am I supposed to buy a white robe and stand up on a mountain and wait for something? (Oh wait -- that was Harold Camping's gig)

I'm so confused....

Actually, and I suspect most folks know this, the significance of 11-11-11 is that the armistice that ended World War I called for hostilities to cease on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. That didn't actually end the killing and the dying, as die-hard pockets insisted in getting the last few shots in. But it came to be called Armistice Day, which became Veterans Day. But you knew that.

And then of course there is 11-11-11-11, which is the way all the dials on your amp are supposed to read....

At 1100, 11-11-11 my wife picked up her international drivers license...some irony there. Also, the official start of Fasching today in GM! :)

On Nov. 11, 1911, the temperature reached 83 before a strong cold front charged through the state. After the front’s passage, readings fell 66 degrees, to 17.
