How many here answer phone Polls?

We hang up. How we vote is our business.

I rarely answer the phone at all. If you know me well enough for me to talk to you, you have my cell number. When I do answer, most of our poll calls come from Political groups or candidates. They ask a few questions and then ask for money. I'll answer the questions and say no to the money.

I answer them but if they are calling during dinner, like 3 of them did last night I tell them I am eating then hang up.

I usually answer my direct line at work, I screen calls on my cell phone, but at home I almost never answer the phone.

No, I'm also on the don't call list so doesn't happen often... but when it does I say "No thank you" and hang up.

I don't answer polls and I don't sign petitions. That's how we ended up with Arnold

There has been previous debate here about canvassing callers with some saying, "Well, at least they have a job and are trying to stay off the dole." So if you look at it that way and these pollsters are not trying to sell you a time share investment in a oil well on the Tundra, then you'd have to have a modicum of compunction.

Says ol' Zeke.

I regularly fvk with these people if it's not a recording. Last guy that called sounded drunk. So I asked him if he was. Then I told him he was. And I was right.

I seldom get calls for polls. The last two I did get (the local power company, don't remember where the one before that was from) I asked what the data was going to be used for. The person calling both times said he/she didn't know and that they were just doing the calling. I said,"If you don't know, I'm declining," and hung up.

Sometimes, but only rarely.

And I take some small perverse pleasure in giving them random, marginally absurd, or just plain wrong answers.

When I see poll results I have to ask myself how many others did the same.
