Strange sounds from kitchen faucet

When either hot or cold is first activated we get a chirping sound and the water flow stutters. It happens for a second or two and then clears up.

None of the other faucets in the house do this.

We have not made any changes to our plumbing recently.

Any thoughts on what I can do about it?

Thanks Milt!

I did take it apart and flush it out. I couldn't see any obvious blockage but it works fine now.

It is not a blockage...I'm assuming you have a side spray to the faucet...there is a diverter in the spout that moves with water pressure and over time it loses it's lubrication... Take it apart again and use some heat proof grease to relube everything

If you have galvanized steel pipes, you can have corrosion debris break off and cause odd things to happen.

The same thing will happen with toilet valves.

Actually with ball cocks the rubber disc seals get hard over time which causes them not to seal properly and can cause vibration noises as water is passing
