Can You Tell The Day Before You Are Gonna Catch The Flu?
When I say flu I mean the illness that is associated with a fever, headache, cough, runny nose, sore throat. Normally the day or two I come down with that I have a mild, strange tingling in my arms, legs and waist. I think the virus' are settleing into my nerve roots...
|
Sure can. Don't forget chills.
|
yep. But by then it is too late.
|
I could always tell when the flu was coming on a day or two before. My thighs would ache. It took a few times before I realized the connection.
|
Sure do, and I get the flu every year.
|
No gold to dig gives an early warning. It officially sets in with back pain, but there is still a chance that you can to wear it out with alcohol. I'm doing it right now. Knew earlier today, I'm on a mission.

My balls feel like they get 5x's bigger.
|
I get a general run down feeling. At that point it is not too late for me to fight it off, but otherwise I'll be overtly sick in a day or two. I usually get the flu every two years or so. I got my first flu shot ever this year, so we'll see if I get sick.

Yep. Every single time I have a dream that I am flying a plane and the motor starts to crap out then I crash.
|
Our office nurse says you actually catch it ~14 days before you really feel the symptoms. I'd rather get flu shots.
|
My first symptons are muscle pain beyond the level I've been exerting to create.
|
Can honestly say I've never had the full blown flu. Knock on wood.
I don't know how I dodged that bullet last year, working in a pharmacy, and not having a flu shot. |
Maybe if you are psychic.
The incubation period between "catching flu" (exposure) to first symptoms is generally one to five days. What you're really asking is "do you have vague non-specific symptoms as a precursor to a full blown flu the next day." Cheers d. I don't get the flu |
yes...usually your shoulder hurts from getting the vaccine that day...or so say the local chiropracters :(
|
Yes. I get real thirsty and just a bit nauseous/light headed.
2 days later, BAM! Flu arrives. |
Usually I can tell a day before the flu shows up but for me its a sore throat, next day - wake up sick. I cam also tell when I'm having a malaria relapse or a new infection a day or 2 before I go positive, this sis a real advantage cause the sooner you take the meds the sooner you feel back to normal, 4-7 days.

Absolutely.
The day after I get the flu shot, that is one of the reasons I don't get them. |
Flu the day before, no.
Crabs the night before, yes. |
