Need advice on web site tool
I need to rebuild the team web site and want to start from step one again. Until last year the site was focused on marketing and selling parts - but that is no longer the case. CoolCava Racing is now only a Porsche Sports Cup racing team, and as such the current look and feel of the site is all wrong!!!
I did have a company in the UK that was going to build us a new site as a sponsorship deal (they built the site for us to manage afterwards, and we put their logo on the cars). But after more than a month with no progress, I am realising that I am going to have to do this myself  What we want to do is build a site that is now focused round the team and the racing activities - but still gives good viability to promote our sponsors. There should be a calendar function to show race meetings and other team events. A link to the team FaceBook page, YouTube channel etc. And a Blog type thing... So, I am looking for some "free" tool that will help me build the site and manage it. Any good web site developers out there who can recommend what tool I should be using for this??? |
Get a CMS like Wordpress. Plug in the modules you need. Be done with it.
Don't get caught up in shiny object syndrome, content is king. Pelican forums are a perfect example of that, bone stock looking installation of Vbullettin, it's the members that make it what it is. |
PM sent.
