18 years ago today, the man who influenced me the most left... The man who raised me, made me a man and instilled solid, hard working values and made me work my ass off for everything I had. At times I hated how hard he was on me, but later thanked him for it. The 1st time in 18 years I didn't done to the club, and take his Gin & Tonic down to the deck and toast (as well as pour some in the river for him) him, as I have to be with a friend who just had a major loss and needs my shoulder to lean on.. So, anyone near any water, who might drink Gin (he would drink anything, but at the Club it was Gin, other than the time he and I drank all the kiren (that was part of the beer that you had to drink as part of the Beer Club requirement for membership, causing them to create a new rule with my name on it) when on his boat, I would pick us up some icy cold Fosters... Now I'm just rambling, since I'm posting with an I-pad I can't even post pix tonight. Cheers,

So you're missing his toast to be with a friend in need. That proves you DID pay attention to him, and he did a pretty good job raising you. I'm sure he not only understands, but approves.
