NO. If they drop below a certain voltage, they die.

You use a differential scanning calorimeter, ehe! I could explain the principle, but since I am feeling lazy tonight, here is the theory.

Note that these days, a better method is accelerated rate calorimetry (ARC). One of the advantages is that it works with larger samples, or even actual batteries.
