Anyone checking out Velocity Channel?

I found the Velocity Channel while flipping thru the HD channels of my IO/DVR box. Great shows or I'm completely sick of the programming on the other 400+ channels. Now that my racing season has wound down and I can get back to my BMW resto projects...I find this channel to keep me in front of the idiot box! The Mecum Auction show they have seem to be a bit more realistic than the "other one", The Mille Miglia, and a find/resto/auction show that doesn't talk to you like you're the stupid one.

My 2 cents...hope you get it, nice alternative!

How do you like the American Wheeler Dealers? Was the recent Rennsport Reunion show on Velocity?

BBC Top Gear is good if you can stomach Clarkson. I have recently found re-runs of the Outer Limits from the late 1990's that I enjoy.

I have watched all of the "ten best" military rifle, armor, fighter jets. tanks, rifles, machine guns, close combat guns, submarines, etc and every UFO show you can find plus all the Hitler documentary variants. I really liked the Battle of 73 Eastings tank battle show.

Most of the rest just sucks eggs because of commercials - and the volume variation.

Wheeler Dealers is on tonight and I haven't seen the reunion yet.

I too have seen a bunch of the Hitler shows. The Outer Limits shows are better than the newer Twilight Zone. IMO.

Because of show saturation(repeated several times each night) I try to DVR the show and watch it at a later time so I can fast forward thru the commercials.

I've had it a few years now. Love it, watch it all the time.

When I got HD on Dish, I had no idea I had these extra channels for the 1st 2 months or so....My other receivers on the same account do not have these channels.......Would never go back....

Be aware...

Velocity is showing topless female nudity at night now. i don't remember HDNet doing that...

not that *I'm* complaining, but you don't want to accidentally flip on there when your kids are around...

Yeah, it wasn't like "All boobies all the time!!", but I did flip upon some shows that had nekkid chicks.

Like I said, I like me some nekkid chicks, but I woulda been mortified if said nekkid chicks appeared 2 days earlier when the in-laws where sitting here...
