My job is not so bad when business is slow!
 

I might go as far to say that it borderlines enjoyable. Still have plenty to do , just not under so much pressure, with cars backed up for days. I think I am going to make an honest effort to take a little less work this coming year. Getting too old for the constant hustle.

Just take the ones that make you money ;)

That is kind of how I have been trying to structure my biz for the last few years. I put the good money making jobs as top priority, and shuffle the pia stuff as filler work. I have even just been saying no to stuff that I don't want to do. This is the exact reason I left go of all my employees, and left the high rent district 11 years ago. I used to have to fill my bays with work just to survive, and even then I did not always make any money.

Law of diminishing returns...did that with my law prctice years ago.

One of the reasons I jacked my consulting rate thru the roof years ago, no more favors, no more discounts, no negotiation. You have someone that'll do it cheaper? You should call them.

My clients who understand my value could care less what they pay me and the cheap (pain in the ass not worth it at any price) clients went away.

Lot less stress.

I wish business would slow for us a little...
