RIP. I've enjoyed his wit for years.

R.I.P. Mr Jaffee.

One of the first things I did with a new Mad was fold the back cover to see Mr. Jaffee's artwork "change". I also loved his "Snappy Answers To Stupid Questions". RIP Mr. Jaffee..

Hmmm. Maybe I should read the article before I post (this isn't PARF ya know). Mr. Jaffee is still alive and kickin'.

Tobra 12-05-2011 10:28 AM

Oops, the blurb on the main page sure made it sound as though he had passed away.

one day I will be like you craig, error free, something I can aspire to

He was in Savannah, GA not long ago with the other artist from Mad Magazine. I was bummed when I found out I missed it..

Good

It was the first English magazine I subscribed to. Love his drawings. Got dozen and dozen of the Mad books.

My favorite drawings was a guy going on a roller coaster ride and was smiling from frame 1 right to the last one when you find out that he is "paralyzed" in the position...

The last thing I am is error free. I posted RIP without reading the article and it took awhile to figure out that he was still among us. Sad when these icons from our childhood pass, I always liked Don Martin and was sad when he went. He even had a vanity license plate that said "SHTOINK".

Sad...

Mad Magazine and the The National Lampoon kept me sane during my teen years!!

Oh Haha 12-05-2011 05:28 PM

We had a janitor at my high school that looked exactly like the Don Martin character.

MAD tv brings back some good memories from reading the magazine in my youth.

My son likes Spy vs Spy.
