Drink UP!!!
On this date in 1933, the 21st amendment was ratified by the states, ending the failed experiment of national prohibition. The amendment repealed the 18th amendment to the Constitution that had been passed 13 years prior, which outlawed the “manufacture, sale, or transportation of intoxicating liquors.” To this point, the 18th amendment is the only amendment to the Constitution that has ever been repealed.
