Anyone ever deal with ECS Tuning?

Located in Ohio.....they are looking to expand into other areas.

I bought my KW suspension for the 968 from them. They offered a little bit better price than anyone else (maybe 8-9%; all the other distributors were asking MSRP)
When they realized the stuff was not in North America,I got a phone call to confirm I would be OK with the wait while it came from Germany.
I think I might have bought something for my Audi from them as well. No complaints, no problems, good service; I'd use them again.

Now be it far from me to say something about free enterprise and all but don't you think it is kind of rude to post that on the Pelican forum? Just sayin' Sure I buy stuff elsewhere but I don't advertise the other companies here, and I will do some pretty low things

Joe Bob 12-06-2011 03:16 PM

Not trying to be rude.....they are looking for employees and a friend is looking in Ohio.

I simply wanted a read on whether they are a legit company or not.

Jesus Rick, get a grip.....I've been posting here and buying from PP since they opened the doors.

Carry on

Joe Bob - I've dealt with them and have had other friends here in New Zealand deal with them. They are a good company. I only order Audi things from them.

They once made a mistake with some brake pads that a friend ordered for his Audi S4 and they refunded it in full including the freight and didn't ask for the return of the goods. That sort of service really matters when you are this far geographically removed from the seller.

Based on what I know I would recommend them.

have always heard good things about them from the VW/Audi crowd...

only transaction was H&R adapters from them years ago, got to me in Hawaii without any issues and good shipping prices.

One of their guy's name is Brad (different guy) and he posts regular over on the world.SmileWavy

Thanks.....now, only need horror stories in any...:D

I just didn't want to send someone to them if they were another MM or Auto Atlanta.

They seem big and well known in the vw group and a Banner Advertiser on VWVortex but I never got anything from them.

I've bought some nicely engineered stuff from them for my 2 jetta's and touareg. I'm guessing they have their own engineer designing their parts for outside manfacturing. - never had a problem. Bill K

I've dealt with them for parts for my daily only. They don't sell crap parts and they try to give you a choice.
Overall I like their web page and it's layout. They now take Paypal which is good for someone like me although I haven't bought anything yet using paypal.
Before Paypal you had to fax them an authorisation so you could use your Visa card to pay for your order. (international only)

Overall, they're pretty good... But not "Pelican" good.

I prefer dealing with Pelican for my Porsche and VW but Pelican don't have the range ECS has for my VW.

I would buy local but the few Euro parts places here are run by "Cowboys".

They have a very good reputation in the Audi world

MM is an absolute joke.

No more need for comments....evidently Wayne was not amused.

In my own defense, I've never bought from them, don't plan to nor recommend them.

porsche4life 12-07-2011 09:52 PM

I don't trust anyone in Ohio....
