Who is the most obsequious person on PPOT?

Toss up...I vote for anyone who has posted on Tweezers' surf thread.

gprsh924 12-06-2011 01:39 PM

Fantastic

I bow to no one! (but tweezy is pretty hot and maybe there is a 1:100000000000 chance that someday I will actually meet her so I guess I should be nice...)

Better drop me from that list...I posted there, but she didn't much like what I posted. Fawning never has been my bag.

Remember guys...nobody likes a suck-up...in the end, not even the one being sucked up to.

tevake 12-06-2011 01:53 PM

Gulp!

Cheers Richard

There are some words I know:D

Hugh R 12-06-2011 02:30 PM

OK show of hands who had to look the word up?

speeder 12-06-2011 02:33 PM

Not me. Does that put me in the running with the smart guys?

craigster59 12-06-2011 02:35 PM

I did after I edited my post on the "astute" thread without looking that word up. I thought it was another word for "fart".

obseq, obsequs, obseous, obsequhanus..Er, LOOK HERE! You just watch your language young man, this is a respectable web site.

Buckterrier 12-06-2011 03:21 PM

I think most of those posts were of a lecherous nature, compared to the typically obsequious posts in threads started by tweezers or Angela...

Now be nice. I think everybody that has posted on the surf thread was not necessarily being obsequious. We are all part of the loving surfer world. :) A surfer knows what I am talking about. Love to all the surfers! ;)

Lube, flattery will get you everywhere! You have learned well by the woman in your life. And even better, being sincerely nice is even better. You can tell when someone is just kissing butt or being a truly nice person.

Again, there is a difference between being a suck-up and saying things true to your heart. I would say that I am definitely not a suck up but I tell somebody if they have impressed me in any way. Why not? It doesn't cost me anything and it makes the other person feel good. And what did you post there pwd72s? I don't remember anybody posting something I didn't "like". I will have to look back. :)

And everybody has been lovely on this forum. And I am not being obsequious... *giggle*.

Me!

I remember the word from a Steve Martin sketch and I know it to mean someone who is like an undertaker/funeral home director when the visitors arrive. Someone completely self-effacing. Not really a suck-up, just selfless and obliging.

M.D. Holloway 12-06-2011 06:22 PM

Tweezy quoted me! She quoted me she quoted me! I was thought about by a really cute girl for at least a minute! I'm happy! :)

Its easy being nice to a nice cutie! ;)

Lube, it is your lucky day... I have now quoted you twice and thought about you more. ;)

That is so nice of you to say! The women on this board are awesome I have to say. But then again, I would say that we fit the general "profile" of a PP member, right? ;)
