How the 2013 Mustang really projects an image!

$700 option for ambient lighting in a P-car? Bah! Check this out!

2013 Ford Mustang redefines "badge engineering" with logo projector

fastfredracing 12-07-2011 02:36 PM

The ghey in that is very strong

ZLP 12-07-2011 02:38 PM

That's the cheesiest thing I've ever seen on a car.

craigster59 12-07-2011 02:43 PM

That looks like something you'd see in the accessories aisle at Pep Boys next to the naked girl mudflaps..

Zeke 12-07-2011 02:43 PM

No, wait. A circle of them little ponies all around the car in pink. Also in neon.

Batman, dude. Put the thing on a toggle switch.

Baby Boomers did not do that to a car.

Oh Haha 12-07-2011 02:45 PM

Kind cool, actually.

The Mustang is an icon, whether we like them or not.

pwd72s 12-07-2011 02:45 PM

Well, let's just say that I don't see myself scrambing to add this feature to my Bullitt. I also leave it's "ambient lighting" off. Still, some folks pay extra for ambient lighting in their new Porsche. Why is that not ghey & this is?

Zeke 12-07-2011 02:57 PM

You mean a Porsche sits on its own light cloud? I don't know about these things.

"ambient lighting"...dim interior lighting that illuminates the footwells, doorsills, stuff like that Milt. Yes, a $700 extra cost on P-cars, used by BMW & others...
Now ya know. In my Bullitt, I even have color selection...wow.

rouxroux 12-07-2011 03:17 PM

ghey...turn in man card.;)

What's the matter? Your interior lights quit?

RWebb 12-07-2011 03:25 PM

I always travel with a flashlight.

Me too...they are great for storage of dead batteries.

The newer Mustangs are more than you remember old Mustangs as being. And the motors don't blow up.

I'm a little slow on the uptake. What does a batman image on the ground outside the door sill have to do with a little crotch lighting?

BTW, if I want a little ambient lighting I just open the make up mirror. ;)

Or get out your flashlight? ;)

I never thought of the pony projector beam as having any practical use...but maybe it could keep you from stepping on or in something as you enter the car?

But then...back to the flashlight.

The sad thing is, this will be the next big fad.
