I just ordered a new trombone ( plastic )

They are called a Pbone.

They are $150.
Carbon fiber slide.

I have been watching some Pbone vs brass trombone comparison videos and they sound really great.
My horn is 30 years old, but still plays great.

I'm looking forward to trying it out.

I can see that coming in real handy for boosting team morale in the pits at LeMons races.

Funny you mention that.
A new LeMons team mate, fellow Pelican that I have known since '05, is a fellow trombone player as well. I just found out a few weeks ago.

So trombone duets are likely in the pits....

3 generations of them in my family, of which I'm one. But it's been a long time.

i played through highschool..but quit caring my senior and junior year.

i should have just quit. my poor mom got me a BA trigger t-bone. i got good for awhile, then i notice girls.and beer. my priorities went sideways.

that is probably hella light

My brother's first instrument was the trombone. Now he plays pretty much anything.

Count me in also sporting "the bone".

Band, concert band, marching band, orchestra, stage band, jazz ensemble, solo, duet and trio competitions.

Count me in, been a long time, a very long time.

That plastic bone cost less than mine did in the mid 60's.

I love the low brass instuments. I played the baritone for marching and concert band in highschool. It's the most interesting section in a band IMO.

I was first chair trombone in 7th and 8th grade. Respek.
