I lost my temper with a mechanic today
I had a cluster **** of a day, got bugged all day, and was behind schedule. Was trying to get to the repair shop for some business I had with them. I drive all the way across town and get there at 3:30 on a Thursday afternoon, only to find the door locked! I knocked on the door, but they would not answer it. I could see the guy in there getting some tools. I started pounding my door and yelling at him to open up. My temper is boiling, and I really don't want to have taken my time to drive all the way across town, only to have this guy totally blow me off. This jackass see me, and yells at me through the door "can't talk right now, come back in one hour" . I banged at my door really hard, punched it, then went out in the lot yelling profanity's at him, and making a scene.
This guy came unglued, fired out the front door and just blew up on me. He was so fuchin' pissed, and screaming and coming at me I had to back up against my car. We engaged in a heated argument for about a minute, and there was a brief period where I was ready to let it loose. Good on me, I cooled off, and diffused the situation. We both apologized and went our seperate ways. Almost 20 years of dealing with shops, mechanics, etc., and this is the second time this has happened. I am a little ashamed of my actions, but damn, I drove all the way across town, during normal business hours, and this guy wouldn't even give me a minute of time. If he does not want to be pestered by customers, perhaps he should find another line of work. |

Well played Sir McLovin.
|
Reminds me of the oil overfill thread...
|
Did you make sure to take two parking spaces when you parked?
|
I would think this to be a lot more serious if you did it all the time.
You should feel a little ashamed. Do you ? We should all spend a little more time in front of the mirror. |
Some guy comes at me like that, I'm gonna pimp slap him.
|
An amazing coincidence.

Its people like u Mclovin that enable me to get good service. Treat others like u would have them treat u. It works wonders. If I was the mechanic I would have called the police on u. Anger management course needed.

Thanks Red

I knew this was a 'the/mclovin' thread before I clicked on it on the iPhone (you don't see thread-starter in the topic list -- just most recent responder).

Yeah Fred you did, you did! I LIED! . . . . . . What happened to McLovin? |
I think you need to look inward. Perhaps you don't deserve to be a customer any more.
|
That's happened to me before too (go to a small shop only to find it closed at 3:30). I simply decided to find another shop.
Bottom Line: your money is your vote. |
There are two sides to every story. I work at a bank and we are trained to make every customer feel special. Well, this one guy . . .

Dude! its the duds that give ya'll away... You need to drop the white shirt, tie and black pants and go for something less conspicuous like a warmup suit. Hell, the duds give you up a mile away and it gives everyone time to close the drapes and lock the doors. Sounds to me your lucky this guy wasn't a Jehovah's witness or things might of got very ugly...
