can you post the full text of the email, with headers?

Many of the craiglist ads that are 'too good to be true' are just looking to get valid email addresses.

I inquired about a 'free item' a few months ago and was hammered by spam for days.

as soon as you read, "I'm at Sea", should tell you that this is just another SCAM.

The first reply from CL does not yield your email addy. I always state your phone no. gets my call and that's it for the emails. I get a few that don't list a number and they go to trash w/o a thought.

I think I had replied to her early this morning when she asked if it was still avail. What value is my email address to her? Any list she puts me on will just go to my spam folder.

Bet it's a double space parker.....

Anyone that makes weird demands....runaway. Not worth the sale. I once had a full payment for some Gasburner Mahle wheels....forget the amount but I made a good return on the refurb and purchase, post sale, prior to shipping the weasel dick started making off the wall demands.

Pulled the plug, refunded the cash and never looked back. Douche nozzle sent me 50 emails *****ing at me.

Virgin Islands if I remember. The last sale I ever made on the 356 registry...god, I hated that site.

A reply to a CL response to 'your' ad, reveals everything. Cut and paste to a toss away hotmail type account saves you from the countless winkie extender and I wanna be yer biotch spam mails....

They will "hire" someone to forward the packages to them in Nigeria or where ever....It's part of a "work at home" scam.

"To be a forwarding agent or reshipper you must be bonded, insured and licensed to do so within the laws of your country, state, and county. If you have been asked through email or chat room correspondence or by telephone to reship merchandise to another country that was purchased in your country, you can bet that the merchandise was purchased with stolen credit cards. You are facilitating a crime, receiving and reshipping stolen property, and are at risk of arrest and conviction."

What to do if you are the victim of a Payment or Package Processing Scam

You're right. I was speaking of a seller's ad. THEIR response reveals nothing. THEY have to give the phone no. to me.

I thought that was what this was all about, scams from responders.
