Chroma Knives (F.A. Porsche)
Got an early chirstmas present from a great friend. A three knife set from the Chroma Type 301 collection designed by F.A Porsche.
These are a little unique in styling but amazingly well balanced and easy to use. Ergonomically excellent knives. Now I am shopping to complete the set! Cheers

Very nice but too bad not made in Solingen, Germany.... just to keep in tradition. Lee Valley is a first class company and like the online catalog format. Lots of neat stuff for the woodworker

Tim,
So far I find quite the opposite. I find them very user freindly with great balance. The little "nibs" stop your hand from sliding. My buddy, who is a gourmet thinks they work well too and another friend who is a chef is suitably impressed. They ceratianly work for me and we are already starting to complete the set. But different strokes for different folks as they say! PWD likes Mustangs for example! ![]() Yes, they are rather pretty to look at!!

Yes, I get good grip. They are slipery but I just rest thumb and forefinger against the nubs and it works for my hands. YMMV ![]() Cheers

Thanks for the report... I've always wondered how usable they are, but you never see them in stores.
