do you have anything on you bucket-list that is impossible?

something you would love to see, do, taste...but will never happen.

before i die, i would love to be a passenger on a fighter jet..and land on an aircraft carrier. that has got to be insane!!

I have always wanted to make my lady happy!

kinein 12-15-2011 10:08 AM

spend a week at the space station

Noah930 12-15-2011 10:11 AM

Win the Indy 500. Or an F1 race.

That fighter jet stuff, too. Too bad my eyes suck and they didn't have laser eye surgery when I was young enough for it to have made a difference.

juanbenae 12-15-2011 10:17 AM

to be revered in PPOT like the OP.....

id10t 12-15-2011 10:19 AM

Well... you can fly a fighter jet... not sure on the carrier landing...

100+

I always wanted to retire on the moon. 1/6th gravity would be great.

ShakinJoe 12-15-2011 12:46 PM

strupgolf 12-15-2011 01:12 PM

bucket list, huh. Well, never mind. A lap at Road America in a Can-Am BB 510 McClaren.

futuresoptions 12-15-2011 01:24 PM

Be the lead singer/rhythm guitarist for a hard rock group.

fingpilot 12-15-2011 01:30 PM

My mom says my life is most men's fantasy. She's right. Book to follow.

My bucket list would amaze you.

5 holidays at home. Plan a vacation more than a week in advance, and get to actually do it. Not have nightmares about the people whose lives I have inexorably altered. Retire.

kinein 12-15-2011 01:35 PM

hit 350million lottery

Is it possible to fly in American fighter jets here in America? Celebrities do it, so can normal people? I would easily pony up 10k for a flight.

john70t 12-15-2011 02:20 PM

$1200 dogfight in an Extra 300
Desert Dogfights and Aerobatic Super Rides, Mesa Arizona
(oh, why did I have to look this up. no, no, no, can't afford)

URY914 12-15-2011 03:19 PM

Turn back time.

I know there is at least one private F4 Phantom around. There are also other private supersonic aircraft (ex fighter/interceptor F5, F104, F100, Mig's...). I'd think $10K would get you in the back seat. The privately owned Harrier would be really cool too...although I don't think it has a back seat.

So are we linking this thread to the Pelican Christmas gift exchange one?

I dunnnoo about that one. If it's small enough for tweezers to be useful on it, Jennifer might not notice it at all. :D

My impossible thing? See the original lineup for Zeppelin.

Porsche-O-Phile 12-15-2011 04:16 PM

Two chicks at once.

Hell it's impossible for ME!

For a while you could do it 7/8ths genetically... Jason Bonham was playing with the others for a while in the late 90s/early 2000s..

Rookie, twins are a PIA if you ask me.

masraum 12-15-2011 05:42 PM

Well, to me stuff that's in the bucket list is stuff that's actually attainable.

Is there stuff that I'd like to do that's not possible (or at least highly unlikely), sure, but that stuff doesn't make it into the bucket list.

Drive/own/ride in 956, 917, F1 car, McLaren F1
Take a trip on the Concord
Take a trip in the Space Shuttle
Take a trip in the SR71
Meet Bruce Lee and watch him do his thing

I think there are some things that I have missed in the past because I didn't realize they were options at the time. If I could go back in time with a little more clue, I may do somethings differently.

gassy 12-15-2011 06:31 PM

I've always wanted to hit golf balls and throw frisbees into the Grand Canyon and then go find them. I'd love to watch them float down.

gassy 12-15-2011 06:33 PM

Based on that I'd love to do that wing suit thing.

Yeah, I know. That would have sufficed. Jason is one helluva drummer for sure.

romad 12-16-2011 11:09 AM

Being A FIGHTER PILOT is a good will not happen bucket idea

Believe this......a one time flight in a fighter jet for most people is not a great experience. It takes some time to get real comfortable. You can die very happy missing out on that experience. As for the 5 figure fighter schools more than likely, by the time you stop throwing up or just stop feeling miserable your flight time is up. Save your money.

I've done most of my list, I guess, go to the Barcelona Grand Prix with my friend Phil, but he got sick & passed before we got to go.
