Can anyone tell me the make/model?
I'm thinking XK120...?

oldE 12-15-2011 11:40 AM

Jag 140 or 150.
Top of the door looks straight to me.
Sorry, upon reflection 150 is out.

Best
Les

C-type ?

TGTIW 12-15-2011 11:52 AM

I think you got it with the 140, it looks 1957ish.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Nope.

XK-120

The 140 and 150 had bumpers, not just bumperettes.

Made late 40's to about '54 or '55.

Only the XK-150 had relatively straight door tops, slightly curved.

Wrong door for a 120. No big chrome exterior door handle and curved door top.

Looks like the door is right for a 140. Chrome door handle on the flat area above the curved area that is an extension of the lines from the front fenders.

Top of the door is wrong for a 150 too. Chrome door handle, but it's on a curved area.

I'm voting that it's a 140 with the bumpers removed. Bumpers would be a lot easier to change than doors.

It is interesting in a typical early 50s fashion the door is 140 and the tail lights are 120.

Funny Brits.

Interchangeable and the lights all melt the same....

What is it..........

XK140 prototype or very, very early XK140.

I bet it was hard to get started when it was raining or there was a full moon.

Don't know how comfortable I would be in one of those North of 120 mph

robs944 12-15-2011 03:56 PM

I think tcar got it....

Given the bumperettes and door style I would guess mid 1950's XK120 DHC

Door and windshield (look at the top of the frame especially) are 140. But bumpers and trunk latch below the trunk say 120.

So I say its a 130. ;)

Correct...looks like a '53 drop head coupe. Wheel spats and the upsweep of the door are the first clues.

Now can anybody identify the house?
