FWIF my (former) '08 Tundra CrewMax was easier to maneuver (including parking) than the '06 Tacoma double cab I drove for work...

The double cab I have is way way bigger and less nimble than my 2000 Tundra, it's literally HUGE by comparison.

That's what I thought too. I had my choice of two local dealerships. I chose the one in the higher end area of town and I think it paid off. Go to a dealership that has a high customer service reputation as I'm sure this is more or less up to the service manager.

Seriously? Isn't everything in MI that rusty after a few years? I expected far worse.

I happen to think that they build the best trucks around based on driving a variety of both domestics and imports. The domestics have dramatically improved in recent years, but they still have a little work to do (my opinion).

The Tundra is more domestic than a lot of "domestics." Made in Texas now (originally in Indiana), designed in Michigan, 65% North American content.

Agreed, I didn't expect to get it covered.

And you guys are right , the frames were actually made by Dana, a US manuf. now defunct.

Looks like a land rover frame 30 minutes off the lot :)

Swing and a miss..... Took my '02 Tundra in for the recall and they simply removed the bed and coated the entire frame with some kind of black rust treatment. No new frame for me, but at least it is nicely protected now.
