Anyone else here tired of the "Donation in your name" gift?
I have a business associate that gives these. First, I'll preface to say that usually give them around 100-150 for a dinner. The first year, I got a re-gifted glass dish. Obviously I could tell since the box was ripped up and kind of dusty. The style was very modern also, only meant for someone who is into that (which my wife isn't and obviously neither were they). The second year, a $100 donation to a charity I never heard of. This year another donation. I think if one party is giving an item, wouldn't you try to give something along those lines? I just think a physical gift has more meaning. Even a card and a $20 bottle of wine. Bah Humbug.:D

Was it to the Human Fund?

Next year donate a gift in his name to Hezbollah or the KKK...and drop dime to the FBI.
That'll make him quit. |

Were we supposed to send LIVE animals?

Cindy's brother used to do that...knowing we are conservative, he'd make a "donation" to liberal causes in her name. This would result in junk mail.
We returned he favor, "donating" to the national Republican Party in his name. That stopped the krap...;) |

Reminds me of George on Seinfeld. :)

You would not get a gift from me. Give me a job and all you will hear is "have a nice weekend" as I walk out the door at 4:00 on Friday.

Though I do have one co worker I am thinking about giving a box full of hornets.
