a "muddler"? for crushing mint leaves with ice for your mojito?
|
Close...looks like an ice cracker to me. Place a few cubes in the palm of your hand, give 'em a whack, dump into a glass, add a few fingers of good bourbon...
|
Original nutcracker.

Holy cats Paul got it. I found the design. Patented in 1967 to a guy named Samual Sacks. it is an ice cracker. THANKS!
|
yea..thinking about it. that thing would a shatter any highball glass with the first contact.
ice breaker huh? cool |
Someone give it to you as a gift?
|
Looks like something to keep shoes straight? Ball goes at the heel, pointy bit in the front, spring pushes the two apart?
Or... Is it missing the gun that fires it? |

It belongs to Dr. Who......and he will be looking for it.

How the heck did you find a patent for it in one hour?
|
when paul mentioned it was an ice cracker, i googled "ice cracker." there was a website that had different pictures of ice cracker designs...apparently people collect these things. i found a picture of this very model, and then checked it out on google docs. took about 3 minutes! just got lucky
