Unexpected Christmas "gifts"
My Sister and BIL live in South Carolina and have a neighbor that works for a liquor distributor. Periodically, the distributor offers "damaged" product to their employees at a discount. The products may have a ripped label - or perhaps a bottle in the case broke and stained the labels on the other 11 bottles. Anyway, they pull these bottles out of distribution and offer them to their employeess at a steep discount. The neighbor brings her purchases home and shares them with her neighbors, which fortunately for me, includes my sister and BIL.
Well - they know I'm interested in scotch, so they mentioned to her to keep her eyes open. Check out what they brought to me today on their trip into town for Christmas! A Buchanan 12 yr blend (750ml), and a Macallan 12 Yr single malt (1.75L). ![]()
