Question about a revolver part

This came with a bunch of car parts I bought at an auction. It has no markings on it, any idea what it is and what it's worth. A 9mm shell wont fit so it is smaller than that. It is also for sale if anyone is interested. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1325707908.jpg

All my wheel guns already have one of those; get what you can for the thing.

The fluting looks like a rough machine finish, like it is from a less expensive brand gun. It likely is from a compact snubbie being a 5 shot. My bet is a charter arms undercover in .38 special. 9 mm cases are larger than .38 special cases.

Revolver cylinder

Probably from a S&W Chiefs special, Rossi or Taurus. Finished bright, could be bare metal or polished stainless steel. Knowing what it is for would help the value quite a bit. On one of the gun auction sites it would probably bring $20 - $40.

Charter Arms perhaps. I can't think of another 5 shot that turns clockwise.

I think you are correct. Charter Arms in polished stainless steel. Most likely chambered for .38 special.
