Ruger 10-22 25 round magazines

This may be old news but to everyone with a Ruger 10-22: Ruger is now making 25 round magazines (BX-25) . UPS delivered two today and the quality is way above the old 25 rounders I have. I haven't had a chance to use yet but the reviews are very good. List for $29.95 on Rugers site but are considerably discounted on other sites. Apparently started selling them last spring.

The Ruger® BX-25®

I really prefer the standard 10 shot because it fits so nicely in the gun, I don't like the bananna hanging out the bottom. That said, I'm sure I have several larger ones laying around somewhere. Make sure to only buy ones with metal 'lips'.

Hi cap mags.......

There are also a couple of 50 round drum mags on the market. Pro-mag and Black Dog are a couple that come to mind. The earlier Pro-mag magazines had some feeding problems but they have come out with a second generation version that seems to work ok. The Black Dog mag looks to be well built, is easy to load and can be disassembled for cleaning. Why waste time changing mags when you could be busy popping caps?

Good price...would have been nice if they had come out sooner. A lot of crappy aftermarket ones out there.

Those 50 round ones don't have the best rep.

The 25 round steel Hot Lips, clip together...kinda neat.
