Tin Tin the Movie

Just took Bryce to see it.

Fantastic. Spielberg has got it figured out.

When I grew up I had a bunch of the Tin Tin story books and loved them.

Highly recommend taking your kids to the movie.

I tell my buddies to take their kids and they look at me like I have 3 eyes.

Did anyone read them here in the States? Whats the deal.

We lived in Italy at the time so maybe thats why I had them. Strange.

Haven't seen it yet but had all the books back in the early '70s. (Still have them in mom's attic.) Artwork in the books was amazing.

slightly more comic than book.

just wonderful old adventure stories. done over 50 years. be careful what edition you get. some of the stories from the 1930s were pretty racist, and were cleaned up later. still fun books for kids.

the drawing style seems simple. but to the artists eye they are beautifully done.

I read a few of the books as a child - great stuff, bit of a cross between Huck Finn and Johnny Quest. Our Daughter wants to see it. I would rather go see that then the Chipmunks or the Muppets...

I grew up on Tintin and Asterix, thought they did a great job with the movie. I also read a bio of Herge last year, definitely recommend it.

I remember reading Tin Tin when I young (60's) and always loved the stories. Forgot about it until the movie came out, but most people have no idea about it...
