21-0....yikes

Guess that settles it...for now.

Most fun three hours I've had in a long time.
There is a terrible odor coming from the superdome, its from LSU who stunk up the place. The outcome would not have been much different if the LSU offense had stayed home. Their quarterback looked as if he had no business on a football field. Les Miles was spotted in the stands at half time taking up a collection so he could buy a first down. 96 total yards of offense? Only crossed the 50 once and couldn't score? :) One thing to remember, the last time they played LSU won by a score of 9 to 6 and the bama kicker missed 4 field goals. If he had only missed 2 instead of 4, or if he had made one in OT, bama would have been playing a team that deserved to be in the BCS championship game instead of LSU. I said it before and I'll say it again, college teams are going to change their recruiting priorities this year with top priority on kickers who can actually make field goals. If it weren't for one missed field goal, Boise state would have been in the BCS championship game. At least they could have made a game of it. |

Until then, the idea of a national championship remains a joke. *Boise State fans are as passionate as any but there just are not enough of them. |

There are a few teams that were kept out of the BCS game by one missed field goal or hail mary pass. Bama wasn't one of them. Boise St? Seriously? LSU would have been crowned champions rather than chumps last night had the Bronco's been in that game. |

The comedy continues. Chip Kelley had the entire off season to prepare for LSU on opening day. He got skull drug in Dallas. |

The two teams I would have loved to see play in the championship against LSU would have been OSU or Stanford, but they blew their chances; OSU choked against Iowa State (a 6-7 team) and Standford choked against Oregon, which logically put Alabama into the championship game. After watching the pathetic display of defense (they couldn't tackle the waterboy if they had to) when Stanford lost to OSU, it would have been a shame to allow them to play in NOLA. LSU lost because they were not prepared.....they were over confident and didn't put forth the effort preparing for the game, but Alabama did. This one is in the history books. As far as Boise State is concerned, they don't have to go through an elaborate scheme to get into the SEC.....they just need to make some calls and schedule a game or two against an SEC team (sorry, Vanderbilt doesn't count). Oregon played LSU and Bama played Penn State so if they want to be taken as a serious contender, just pick-up the phone! |

I'm dead wrong. Boise State played Georgia this year and beat them which is a step in the right direction. They still need to load their schedule with opponents like Georgia.
|
Well Boise, UNR and one other school, whose name escapes me, are jumping conferences which gives them better opponents than who they play now.
Hawaii, kills at home...but loses the edge on the road. |
