Me in '90-'91 I just found this picture...

I found this picture while cleaning out some boxes in the basement a few weeks ago. My friend Larry must have taken it and got it enlarged and my buddy in town framed it last weekend. The certificate was with it... Man, was I skinny!

"so that a captain could understand"

Yep, remember that as well.

Hey, at least you spent some time in Southern Arizona, which can be really nice if its the right time of year.

ahh, Sierra Vista. I spent a week one night there...

Actually I'm there fairly often and I like the high desert. And TUS is a great airport to commute in/out of.

Probably your desert camo. Nice picture, I wonder how many other Desert Storm vets there are here? I know that MMarsh is one.

I did not say there was a lot to do down there but if someone wants to get some clear blue skies and wilderness, its a nice place. The drive down from TUS is reasonable.

One of the guys who used to post here was in my unit (1st Med Bn, 1st FSSG, USMC) but was in another company. I vaguely remembered him, but there were more than 1200 people in my Bn and we all dressed the same and had the same haircut... It may have been MMarsh...

I wouldn't mind spending an off the grid week in the area....proper gear, no smartphone, no PT, no rules.....just enjoy the area

What's great is that the captain I had to dumb down for was a fuchin lawyer in his day job. Couldn't even read a fucgin map.

I think I weighed 140lbs when that was taken. I'm at 180lbs now, 6'1" tall. Look how thin my neck was... The food was horrible, it was hotter than anything I've ever experienced and I wasn't sleeping like a "regular" person. I'll post the few other pics I have when I get them scanned...

Nice find Art!

(I still have some of my 6 color "chocolate chip" uniforms around here. Then we went to three color, then digitals.)

I've been recently put in the loop but perhaps someone else should explain what "bcgs" are.
