R.I.P. Tommy Ardolino
Hadn't seen any threads posted, but Tommy Ardolino the drummer for NRBQ passed away a few days ago. He was one of the most underrated drummers in one of the most underrated bands (at least commercially). They were always great live, respected by their peers and just a lot of fun. Had great car songs, the most recently covered (about time they received recognition) by She & Him with "Ridin' In My Car".
Here's my favorite car song by them, I'm sure any Porsche enthusiast could identify. R.I.P. Tommy, you were a great one!

My wife said he was a total kid. She was dating Terry when her and I met, so she knew Tommy well. If there was ever someone who wanted to laugh and joke all the time it was Tommy.

Yeah, it was a great story. Fan of the band, practiced to their songs by playing along to their records, and asked to join the band when their drummer quit.
They had a solid following of fans and musicians (Dylan, Paul McCartney, Keith Richards, etc) but just never broke the big time. A bunch of fun and talented guys who could really rock the house. Great music to listen to while wrenching or driving.
