What do you think?

Just before Christmas our team web site got hacked and damaged, and after having spent a lot of money to get it built, I decided that this time we would try to do it ourself.

OK, so I am not the worlds best web developers, but I think this is not to bad - would appreciate your feedback.

Thank you! As a person that does not work with web sites, I am really happy with the results so far - but it is how the general public see it that is important.

Nice job... most home-built sites make me cringe and cower. Yours looks pretty good.

Nice. There are things I would have liked to do, but I just do not have the skills to make a site that looks professional...

Very nicely done.

Easy to navigate around, subtle presentation of information.

I like it, Pål. The key is to keep it up-to-date and have plenty for viewers to see/read. Is this website important to your sponsors? If so, have they chimed in on what they'd like to see on your web site?

Pretty good.

I like! Timo looks like he would be a hoot! Anyone that starts his career racing mopeds is a farce to be wreckoned with.

Nice site.

Looks good!!!

The main feedback I am getting here and from others is the following:
.- Change the white backgrounds - either colour or put an image there.
.- The black box is to harsh, change the colour.
.- To much content on the first page.

So I will try to work on these things first...

That is why most of the content is from Facebook etc - easy to keep up-to-date and manage. It makes the site very light and easy for someone like me to manage

Not spoken much to the sponsors regarding the site, as we do not have many at the moment.

Nice site.

Timo is great fun. Both Toni and Timo are good friends, and fun to go racing with. Timo is considering changing to a 996 Cup car, which could be cool :)

A good start, but when are you going to Finnish it?

Good work!
Looks good. Navigate easily between pages. Works well.

As the saying goes "someone with a little bit of knowledge is a dangerous person"!!!

I spent some time last night playing with the site to implement some of the changes that have been recommended, and I was getting rather happy with my progress...

Then today someone pointed out that the site is not looking as it should any more in Internet Explorer :( I only use FireFox and Google Chrome, so had not even tested it in Internet Explorer.

I have no idea why it is not working the same, and do not even know where to start to fix the problems - so will probably have to remove the background picture and the other stuff that is not working in Internet Explorer - should have just let it be as it was!!!

Very nice Paul....easy to navigate and has some meaningful content.

I've dabbled in website work myself and am always curious to see how others have set theirs up.

I see some that have only 1 page :( and others that have too many :( and yet others that are hard to navigate :( and yet others that do not give out the information you would like to (or expect) to see :(

Yours is about perfect.

As to using different colours...sure you could experiment but it wasn't something that stood out as a problem for me.

Keep up the good work! SmileWavy

Thank you for the nice comments Bazza...

I managed to get the IE issues fixed using some JavaScript I found with a Google search.

Kroggers 01-20-2012 12:22 AM

OK, I think we are done :)

Took most of the comments and suggestions and worked on the site again. One issue I have discovered is that I have implemented some CSS3 features that is only supported in the recent browser version (IE is the biggest problem!), but we will live with that...

What do you all think now - is this good or is there still things that need to be changed?

By having the site as simple as possible now, we can make it secure by just refreshing the site files every week or so (delete what is on the server and upload the files again - to remove any hacked code). We will also change the passwords more frequently now.
