Pelican Parts ignores small orders?
Ordered a couple of small parts online last Sunday. Both items were listed as in stock and should be shipped on Monday. Just check order status and one had no status and the other said "in processing." Both of these parts are holding up my reassembly of my freshly painted car. Can't do anything this weekend because of the holdup. They were available elsewhere. Not happy.
Had the same experience a couple of years ago. Anyone else?

Nope, never had a problem with them. I've even purchased stuff from them since I sold my Porsche.
Maybe you should CALL THEM and ask about your order.

MAYBE I SHOULD, BUT THEY ARE NOT OPEN TODAY, so I cannot. I waited good faith all week for my parts and they did not show. When Saturday comes and I don't have any parts, that's when it comes to my attention. That's why I order online, so I don't have to do anything else but pick up the box off my porch. If I wanted to jack around with it all week, I would have just driven to Howard Cooper Porsche in Ann Arbor and picked them up or ordered them there. Chasing the order kind of negates the point, does it not?

I'd call. I've ordered from PP where the shipping was more than the cost of the parts, like $5-$10 in parts. Always got them in a few days.

Both items may have been listed "in stock" but they may be in stock in 2 different places. Pelican endeavors to combine shipping when possible, therefore both parts need to arrive at the Pelican warehouse in order to be shipped. The auto response to ship next day is based on info as supplied to Pelican.
But you will get the best response by contacting customer service via email if you don't have the time to call. PPOT can't solve the problem. |

As far as companies go, Pelican has been one of the better ones I've dealt with.
Mix-ups and delays happen everywhere. Just one of those things in life. Call them monday, and if the order hasen't shipped, change it to an overnight delivery. The Ot forums aren't the business side. And if you are going to be around A2 give me a pm. Always like to meet Pelicans. |

This isn't the place for this. You should email/call PP. Maybe it fell through the cracks. No business is perfect, but I have faith that PP will make good on it. They always have in the past.
