God, I needed that.
This thread reminds me of my dad, 40 years ago saying, "What the hell is wrong with this generation?" when I listened to Derek and the Dominoes.
Watching Clapton and Knopfler and John wring this one out and then think of the popular music of the last couple of decades I want to say, "What the hell is wrong with this generation?"
I guess the circle never ends.

The late, great Bill Evans. Jazz pianist extraordinaire.

In this clip, the bass (Eddie Gomez) work is just flat-out great. If anyone here is into the double bass, check out the right hand technique.

Pink Floyd - Piper At The Gates Of Dawn.

But would also like to provide a shout out to Shaun for that little mall jam he posted, Craigster's tip on Graffiti6 and Lowrider's Black Tide. All stuff that captured my attention!

And where is Kaisen? He ALWAYS has some ideas that make me pick up some new tunes!

Thanks,

JA

Been hungry lately for the Beethoven piano sonoatas. Listening to Horowitz play them is incredible. That's been today's play list.
