Not trying to hog the thread, I just figured that this could grow like the picture threads. Trying to do my part.

If you like Horowitz's performance, you have to check out Lang Lang

When I first heard the CD "Lang Lang - Live in Vienna" it blew me away.

I've been into music from college lately. Listened this this at least 10 times today. I'm getting old.

I'll have to break out some Alan Parsons this weekend. I love I Robot and Pyramid. J.J. Cale/ Eric clapton "Road To Escondido" is another great album. Listening to a lot of blues today, Keb Mo' is aleays good for a nice jam...

JB:

You are quite welcome my friend. So many outstanding musicians and their songs...an almost endless supply means we should share and enjoy together.

I enjoy many types of music - but not all. I am very selective. But not so selective I preclude the best of what is "out there"!

I remember when XM radio came out, my friends were all saying finally an alternative to the top 40 stuff that is played over and over. Well.....the music I enjoy best is still so selective (such as that live Layla video I posted earlier) you would not hear it - even on XM! :P

Right now I am enjoying this mellow soundtrack piece - from the master - Michael Mann's flick "Collateral"......

"Hands of Time" by Groove Armada

These guys really play their asses off live. Here's a live vid of the same tune. fast forward to the end and look at the closeup of the guitar. There is blood all over it.
