Tempting lucent stock OT?

I'm very tempted into getting lucent right now. It's 4.01, but my target is 3. I know communication is doing bad now, but I never owned the stock when it was in the 80s like some of the people I know, so I didn't lose anything in it, and what can I lose now? 100? We will always need communication. Should I raise my target to 3.5? Is now a good time to buy? I read an article on this, but can't find it. Does anyone know any good sites with some support?

I was just looking at porsche stock, wow 500s, that's expensive, but its not at a low point so I'm not looking to buy.

I suggest you delve hard into their fundamentals. A lot of ugly stuff has come out about their accounting practices under Carly the Lame. Of course, I was already in @ ~45 when this stuff hit the fan.

You asked for a good site? www.bobbrinker.com One of his MAJOR rules? No more than 4% of your total equity portfolio in ANY individual stock. That said, I suggest you do MUCH more research than a magazine article before laying your money down...

Though it was funny to come across this exact post because the original poster was asking about Lucent @ $4.01.

I looked it up and here we are more than 11 years later and the stock is at... $4.00 as I post this with only a single dividend in 2007.
