I paint. I sell my work.
I like some of the subject matter (I'm a sucker for robots), the 'mashup' pieces are interesting. But, I have some basic advice. A) It appears he is painting on canvas covered cardboard. These are great for practice, but most folks are going to want a proper canvas if they are going to hang it on their wall. If you don't have a decent art store locally, order them in a multipack from the web. For small paintings, I prefer to work on wood panels. Wood panels need to be prepared with a base coat. B) He needs to work on color saturation and finishing work. I can see canvas poking through in some places, and some edges are visible. The large surface areas have uneven color. Again, I like his ideas, but he needs to kick up the finish level.
