Doc's....shot of my back...opinions
Hurting for years. I knew I had a fracture, spondylothesis of l-4 I think. I did not know I had the scoliosis.
I know why my right interior of my hip hurts and I really can't sit in one place now. He said I had a lot of bone spurs also. F..... I just bought an inversion table to give it a try. Any other thoughts? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1327730291.jpg |
In California, for $50 and that x-ray some Dr would wright you a recommendation for some herbal remedy
|
I can tell you're not a lawyer, I can see a spine.
|
You weren't in Nam' were you?
|
Yoga and physical therapy. The spine would straighten if the muscles weren't overworked on one side and underused on the other. Fairly extreme case there.
I don't see how an inversion table could hurt. Are you seeing an Osteopath ? |
Wow. that looks like mine. L3 & L4 for me, compression fractures that have reshaped those 2 vertebrae into wedges. What has worked for me: Yoga and PT. Regular chiropractic visits to realign what is being pushed out of place by the affected area. The hot tub has been a great investment, helps on the bad days. Keeping my weight under 200, I can tell when I've gone over by how my back feels. Don't sit in one place for too long. No long car rides.

Dude, you need a new spine...I know a guy...
|
how old are you? Is this the way your back is aligned every day or have you recently injured it and are now in muscle spasm? If you say you were unaware of this "scoliosis" until recently, I'd have to think this image of your alignment has significant spasm contribution. Either way, you're earning your discomfort.
Was this image taken in a chiropractor's office? |
Looks like you really need to take a dump too.... sorry. If you are a Nam Vet the VA can really be a God send. Any Vet can see the VA if you're financially strapped but Nam Vets get further up the line.

INB4 Hamster photoshop.
Just some basic yoga stretching that my wife passed on to me made a big difference in my lower back pain. |

My opinion is your screwed.
I also think you should seek a second opinion. |

If I had a spine like that, I would try to sleep on my side with a solid pillow to bend it back straight slowly. But I must admit I am a doctor only in chemistry ;).
|
FIRST, I would see your PCP and discuss it - get a referal to a back surgeon who will likely treat it non-surgically by working with you, a PT, and some carefully selected yoga, tai, chi, pilates, etc. most likely.
Don't shortcut this and try to jump into something w/o a specialist MD. |
So, did it hurt when they were beating the crap out of you with a baseball bat?
|
man..i would never have passed med school. all i see is bones. you guys see organs? and fecal matter?
what is that white spot? ;) |
Do not go to a Chiropractor, you need to see a specialist and get this addressed. It won't get better by ignoring it. Good luck!
