posting this thread was a great move for me. distracted me enough to not be that nervous. i even paraphrased Craigster...i told a reporter a friend told me "make sure i'm zipped up"..and we laughed.

were the reporters HOT? yes. one was smokin! one used to be smokin and is now a very hot cougar..and the other one was very attractive in glasses. one guy we dont need to even mention.

i did great according to our PIO guy. i did better than my boss performed yesterday. (so he said)..i fielded questions.

this group of reporters smelled blood. they wanted budget stuff. my PIO guy did the field interview. on camera. i tend to speak my mind and the PIO guy knows that and didnt want me off leash in front of a camera. ahhahaahaha.

Uh oh! If you did better than the boss they may give you the job as main media contact.

Maybe this is a good opportunity? I'm just sayin'!

Three years ago I would not sing in front of anyone. Now I'm the lead singer in our band. It's amazing the fear and the fact I was able to overcome it.

You ARE the SME, rely on that.

The good news is that there is absolutely no chance I will ever appear on camera for my current employer.
