Ever get a song stuck in your head?
I heard this song 3 different times in the last 12 hours. Sweet song slightly before my time, but its driving me nuts. 1964 Grammy winner. Lyrics may be cryptic for me. lol

Last week I had to sing "Danny Boy" at a funeral. For the next two days that one was stuck there.
They all pass along eventually. If you're lucky, it will get replaced with something nice. Best Les

Its called an 'earworm' when that happens. My worst one was years ago at Disney World when my kids were small, 'Its A Small World After All' I thought I would have to shoot myself to get it out of my head.

Instead of doing it in a low tenor, I ended up sounding like the guy in Crash Test Dummies, with just a bit of strummed 12-string. The church had a great sound system so I didn't have to strain (much). I just did the first verse and refrain. Emotion got shoved aside and I concentrated on getting my tortured throat through the task. Later when the piper led out the procession to Amazing Grace, then the tears came. Another of the 'Greatest Generation' gone. Best Les

I once had Sheena Easton's "My Baby Takes The Mornin' Train" stuck for 3 days. That was hell...

I don't know why, but I still have this rendition of this Christmas song stuck in my head from prior to last Christmas.

Happens to me all the time. "She came in through the bathroom window" is stuck in there at the moment.

At least you don't have "Afternoon Delight" stuck in your head.
Or, worse, (I know, how?) "The Piņa Colada Song". Even worse than both of those would probably be "Mandy" (Or "Brandy You're a fine Girl") Hope this helps.

Every two years we make a D-land run with the kids and every time, as we cruise into Small World on the boat, I dial my older sister at her work. As she answers I say, "It's your brother and this is for you!" I hold my cell up as the music plays and all the ladies in her office gather around the speaker-phone and get teary-eyed.

Oh, by the way, the antidote (for me anyway) is something by the Allman Brothers like "Whipping Post"
Or something by the Stones like "Ventilator Blues"

"Sympathy for the devil" or "Midnight Rambler" (live version) cleans the head out nicely.
