17 of 19. I'm weak in the AMC, & early Mopar areas.
|
After taking the test I decided I didn't take enough time in my misspent youth looking under the hood of Nash Ramblers & Studebakers.....but don't feel bad about it.:D Didn't spend much time looking at Morpars either but remembered that Dodge blue.

In 1958 the 348 truck engine was the biggest thing Chevy had to go up against Chrysler 392, so they tried to bulk it up by stacking three deuces on it. When they increased the displacement to 409 they put dual quads on it. But by then Chrysler had the 413 and was working on a 426. |

If they taught lessons on this stuff, that's all I'da paid attention to. ...that, and gettin' some booty. |
10 / 19... only V-8s I was ever near was the one in our Mercedes 450 and the Dodge 440 in our motorhome. I guess I am an "uneducated american" ;)

17 of 19. I worked in a service station in the early 70's. I shoulda got them all, gettin old I guess.
|
17 out of 19. I've never seen some of those engines in person, so I don't feel too bad.
|
I got 5 wrong (74%).
I got # 1 wrong 429 Ford but I redeemed myself by getting the last question right. The ones that I guessed at I looked at the type of car they were in. The Chevy 348 threw me as well. I thought for sure it was a 409. |
15/19 for 79%.
Trying to think if I've EVER seen a "poly" mopar. I'd have remembered it if I did - pretty sure I haven't. angela |
