Help with Jaguar PPI in Oceanside, CA

I'm looking at a Jaguar E type in Oceanside, CA and need recommendations for someone to do a PPI.

The Caterham guys have suggested:

Wellwood Auto Restoration
or
Harry Appelby at Viking Motorsports in Costa Mesa

Any other thoughts or recommendations?

Thanks.
Ed

Ventura and Costa Mesa are both a pretty good distance from Oceanside. Any chance you could find a shop in/near San Diego? Henry Schmidt in Fallbrook may be able to recommend a shop as he's pretty close to Oceanside.

Check out Home.

2011 British Car Days, E Type Jaguar winners:

1) Colin Seid - Colin Seid
2) Jan Zverina - jzverina@sdsc.edu
3) Lloyd Prosser - http://www.linkedin.com/pub/lloyd-prosser/29/385/772

One of the above may help. Is one of the above the owner of the Jag you're interested in?

Good luck! The early 6 cyl E type and the Ferrari GTO are the two most beautiful post-WWII sports cars. The later E Types were ruined by excess chrome trim...and the 2+2 was plug ugly with its rear roof all swollen to accommodate two more people than a proper sports car should.

I do know a fair bit about E-types and there is another guy close by that just finished a down-to-the-last-panel build of a Series I. But, we are both in Long Beach, not much help.

Thanks guys, still open to suggestions but calling on the San Diego Jaguar Club sounds promising.

Ed,
Good idea! Oceanside is in San Diego County, north of the city and it's much easier to get to Oceanside from San Diego/Fallbrook than it is to get there from LA.
